AGV and robot batteries power automated guided vehicles and intelligent robots: machines that move on their own in warehouses, factories and service environments. HHS Energy lists an AGV battery category at title level, and its application list includes intelligent robots. This page covers both at category level, because no full specification has been verified for an individual AGV or robot pack.
AGV and robot packs share requirements that differ from vehicle packs. They need to fit the machine's battery bay, deliver the current the drive motors and electronics draw, and support the duty cycle of continuous operation with opportunity charging. The battery management system matters more here than in a simple pack, because the machine's controller needs state-of-charge and fault information. The company's stated custom options for packs include communication and balancing functions, which are relevant to AGV and robot applications.
